6th March

A trip to Bushy Park to dust off the cobwebs on my camera. Not a lot to photograph other than these entertaining jackdaws

13th April

Another trip to Bushy Park in the hope of getting a good sunrise, which never happened as it became cloudy with poor light. The day improved watching the Egyptian goslings. I found two families with 7 goslings in total

Next up was this delightful little wren singing his little heart out. Such a loud & beautiful song for a little bird. Unfortunately, he was difficult to photograph because he was high up in the tree and the light was not great.

Sunday 27th April

A lovely start to the day being warm and sunny and decided to relax in the garden watching & listening to the wildlife in our garden. First up were the family of foxes that regularly visit. The vixen (2nd photo) is obviously rearing some cubs somewhere nearby. The other 2 are last year's youngsters. Also visiting regularly is the dog fox and another female not in this family group but visits ocassionally, and is very sweet.

The great tits are very active in the garden this year and regularly follow me around in the hope they may get some worms. Not far behind them are the robins, blue tits & female black bird.

This blackbird follows me round the garden all day if I am out there. She keeps picking worms up, dropping them and picking them up again, presumably practising for her chicks for when they hatch?

The kites are regularly seen circling over the house and garden. It was also lovely to just sit and listen to the birds singing or calling - wrens, robins, blue & great tits, nuthatch, great spotted woodpecker and sparrows to name a few. The magpies and crows can be particularly noisy but not necessarily melodic

13th May

The fox cubs have made an appearance in the garden. There are 4 cubs this year and with the 2 youngsters from last year, we now have 8 foxes visiting out garden

Occupying the youngsters is not easy for the adults

The kite is now sitting in the tree at the bottom of our garden every day.
