I have been aware of foxes visiting my garden on a regular basis for many years. This year, now that I have retired, I am around at home more often and been able to observe them and started photographing them.

6th April 2019 - One of the foxes visiting my garden. Unfortunately, the light was poor requiring high settings on my camera, but happy to observe these lovely animals in the garden.

8th April 2019 - I have noticed the foxes appear to go to my neighbours garden soon after emerging from their den, which I think is very close by. I have observed them yawning, stretching and looking like they have just got out of bed and then they usually relax in the garden before doing their rounds. Today I saw this fox sleeping in the flowers at the bottom of the garden. I tried to look over the fence to photograph him (I think) but was unable to see him due to being vertically challenged, so got the stepladders to facilitate this. Unfortunately, the ladder was metal and trying to be quiet and unseen was challenging. I was able to get this photo (above) before he saw me peering over the fence and ran off. Unfortunately, I was unable to avoid the bush to the left, but still like the fox in the flowers.

13th April 2019 - This fox just sat, and then laid down and watched me in the kitchen. She didn't seem bothered by me being there, but unfortunately the light was poor and unable to get a decent photo

15th April 2019 - This evening I decided to lay down and wait for the foxes to follow their usual path through our garden. After a while I was pleased to see this vixen. She knew I was there but did not seem bothered by my presence. The other foxes, however, are a little more skittish and more difficult to photograph. The vixen is obviously nursing cubs, so looking forward to seeing the cubs sometime soon.

9th May 2019 - The vixen seen in next door's garden. I saw her sitting there and peered over the fence to take this photo.

9th May 2019 - Watching the foxes again in our garden. The same vixen just sitting watching me again, this time a little wet

10th May 2019 - I first spotted a cub on the trail camera yesterday and today was really happy to see 2 cubs.

15th May 2019 - The adult foxes are often seen in next door's garden sleeping or just relaxing in the sunshine. I'm yet to see the cubs during the day, but will keep looking

19th May 2019 - This family of foxes make daily visits to the garden and are a joy to watch. Unfortunately, the cubs are still not coming out until after the light is fading, so not able to photograph them. All this time I thought there were 3 cubs but, unless I am mistaken, I think there are 4 on the video below? Happy days :)
